Are you interested in being part of a high visibility, strategic team that directly impacts the Amazon Customer experience? We are looking for motivated self-starters that can work in a fast paced, data-driven environment. The successful undergraduate will be an analytical problem solver, have an extremely high level of customer obsession, ownership and a passion for process improvement.

As a Customer Service Intern, you will focus on learning about leading in Earth’s most customer centric company, and ensuring the Customer experience is top-notch. You will learn how to lead a team and dive deep into data, discover and solve real world problems. You can expect a mixture of on-the-job training supplemented with focused skills development. Possible projects Interns may work on include improving team or site performance, business analysis, and analyses to identify improvements to the Customer Experience.

Successful candidates will demonstrate our leadership principles: a bias for action; customer obsession; ownership; dive deep; think big and invent and simplify; along with the ability to have fun.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Assist in effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
  • Supporting teams on the day-to-day resolution of customer issues.

Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or Graduate degree program with standing of at least Junior at Marshall University.
  • Must be able to work 10-20 hours a week throughout the course of the 10 week internship
  • Work, internship, or other leadership experience in a professional environment
  • Must be eligible to work and be employed in the U.S.
  • Must have a local residence, housing will not be provided.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Consistent 3.0 or better in academic performance at the undergraduate level
  • Open to all Majors but preferred: Business, Computer, Data Engineering, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Science, Statistics, Symbolic Systems
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Ability to break down and solve complex problems in a high-energy, fast paced environment
  • Good organizational skills, including prioritization and time management
  • Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
  • Excel skills
