The Central Operations Associate coordinates the transportation of customer orders between Amazon Fulfillment Centers and other third-party locations, like grocery stores and restaurants, ensuring each order is picked up and delivered on time. This is a Part-Time role, up to 20 hours per week

Got it? Okay, but what will you actually be doing?

  • Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of orders.
  • Interpret information from different sources to determine customer orders and delivery capacity requirements, then adjust as necessary and execute accordingly.
  • Communicate with delivery partners ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with Amazon Fulfillment Center teams to ensure orders depart on time with zero defects.
  • Solve for planned and unplanned events (traffic, weather, sporting, community) leading to anomalies outside normal dispatch operations.

Hourly Pay Rate: $15.00

Basic Qualifications (because compliance asked us nicely to list these out…)

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience communicating with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and/or evenings.

Preferred Qualifications, bonus points!

  • Good teamwork mentality: able to build trustworthy and supportive working relationships.
  • Strong logical thinking, analytical skills, and problem solving skills.
  • Five years of experience in customer support and/or distribution operations.
  • Experience in transportation/dispatch industry is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills using a transportation management system as well as Microsoft Office products.
