We move fast and immediately empower our teams to drive meaningful business changes, interact with leaders company-wide, and make direct contributions to improving the shopping experience for our customers. From day one, you will be given ownership of complex problems and will partner with both finance and operations teams to help a site manage its strategic, financial and operational plans.

During your internship in one of our U.S. Fulfillment Centers, you will report to the controller of the site and work on a real life project and create a business plan with direct impact on our operations business focusing on analyzing opportunities for cost and process improvement which will allow the Fulfillment Center to work more efficiently and predictably, with the highest level of customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates for this position will leverage their strong analytical and communication skills and strategic thinking ability as well as their ability to dive deep into data and provide thought provoking business solutions demonstrating their capability to think big and influence others. Additionally, they should have a work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations, solid organization and project-management skills, good understanding of financial/accounting concepts as well as strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

Key Responsibilities may include:

· Providing analytical support for facility optimization initiatives
· Providing financial analysis to prioritize and lead cost reduction opportunities
· Analyzing trend patterns within the fulfillment center and working with the site controller and senior financial analyst to help identify and analyze areas for improvement
· Collecting and analyzing quantitative data from the manufacturing process paths used in measuring site productivity
· Designing /maintaining reports based on collected data as well as maintaining/improving metrics models
· Communicating issues and results to controller and other leadership within the fulfillment center; maintain data integrity

  • Currently working towards a bachelor's degree with a graduation date between December 2015 and June 2016
  • Willingness to relocate to project site for the summer

Preferred Qualifications
· Degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or similar field, preferred
· Proficiency of standard software including Excel, SQL, Oracle and/or other financial systems experience a plus
· Solid problem solving and root cause analysis experience
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Strong analytical and business sense
· Superior attention to detail, and the ability to self-start and self-motivate
· Proven success in an ambiguous environment
· Demonstrates effective leadership skills and the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously and in a fast-paced environment
